Gretchen is amazing and I’m so glad we worked with her to find our house in Los Gatos! We found her through a friend and I would recommend her to anyone I know! My husband and I were looking for our first home and our forever home. We knew nothing about home buying before Gretchen, we’d only been to a few open houses in the South Bay where aggressive real estate agents told us we couldn’t afford anything. We interviewed 5+ agents and when we talked with Gretchen we stopped interviewing because we knew it was a perfect fit. Gretchen knows and studies the market. She set up an online profile for us so we could see and comment on houses that were for sale, and even some that hadn’t hit the market yet! We learned from her about home values in the area and what contributes to it. Gretchen took us through a variety of neighborhoods during our first few weekends touring houses. We learned about some new neighborhoods that we wouldn’t have considered otherwise. (I’m honestly sad we didn’t end up in Gretchen’s neighborhood because we liked spending time with her so much!) Gretchen also helped us learn to read home disclosures and understand which things were a “big deal” versus minor fixes. We ended up finding our house in two weeks. However, my husband and I were going on a month long honeymoon two weeks after that so we had to do EVERYTHING to close in two weeks. We couldn’t have made that happen without Gretchen, she checked in daily and ensured we had all the mortgage-related documents in order before we left. She made sure to make time for us whenever worked for our busy schedules. If we ever end up selling this house we will 100% work with Gretchen again.
